This Diploma is a mandatory requirement of Nursing Council for the students who have passed 03 years General Nursing to proceed further in the Nursing Profession.
Currently Pakistan Nursing Council has stopped this Matric (SSC) based three years General Nursing Diploma throughout the country.
This Post Basic Specialization Diploma has been offered by all nursing institutions in different disciplines, however at Dr. Ruth Pfau College of Nursing, Abu Zafar Institute of Medical Sciences is (please remove this is from here) offers this Diploma in Cardiac Nursing Discipline. The Clinical Area to Clinical Teaching and Training of the course is National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD).
